Short answer pulled from internal knowledge of customer products/projects: yes, it has been done. Now, the other question is has anyone on the forum done it? That I do not know.

Depending on the version IRIG can vary from easy to really really hard....
IRIG A,B,G,H?
BCD/binary, 1Khz analog level shifted digital, what exactly do you mean by IRIG?

A Full IRIG spec would be

If your looking at a "have to have irig" requirement from some spec
without the letters and numbers to go with it... then I would question
the person writing the spec...

You may be on the far end of a chain of pass the requirements where
all the intermediate steps don't really understand whats going on...

IMHO This sort of spec chain almost always ends badly...
