Does anyone have any tips on RFID boards. I don't want to make one. I want to purchase one that I can interface using a serial connection to a Netburner module.

Hi,

We used a Skyetek (http://www.skyetek.com) M9 RFID reader for a project at the Univeristy here in UmeƄ, Sweden. It can communicate by USB, serial, I2C and SPI. There is a lot of driver software, also check out the developers kit. The M9 is for 900 MHz tags, we selected this frequency band for range reasons (up to several feet), they have other readers for other frequency bands. There is also a multiplexer board for up to 8 antennas. The reader is small, the size of a credit card, and uses the same type of connector as a PCMCIA card (but is NOT compatible in any other way with PCMCIA).

Best regards

You don't say which standard you are looking for.

we use Promag MF7, very reliable, for Mifare USN reading from CardPOS europe

http://www.cardpos.co.uk/product.php?pID=182

They have a shed load of other readers too for other standards.
