The SB700EX is a low cost, high performance serial to Ethernet device that network-enables new and existing product designs with 10/100BaseT Ethernet. Based on the Freescale ColdFire 5270 32-bit processor with an integrated 10/100 Ethernet MAC, the SB700EX has plenty of horsepower for the most demanding applications (rated at 141 MIPS with 147.5 MHz clock).

Network-Enable Existing Applications
The SB700EX network-enables RS-232, RS-422/485 serial devices right out of the box. No programming or development is required. The SB700EX is pre-programmed to convert your serial data to Ethernet, enabling communication with the serial device over a network or the Internet. The onboard web server provides easy device configuration using a standard web browser.
Customize to Suit Any Application
The SB700EX Network Development Kit ( purchased seprately ) enables you to quickly and easily customize any aspect of operation including web pages, data filtering, or custom network applications. The development kit includes a SB700EX-100CR device, TCP/IP Stack, uC/OS Real-time operating system, Web Server, GNU C/C++ compiler, Eclipse IDE, FAT32 flash file system and end-user deployment tools. The SSH/SSL and SNMP are optional software modules that can be purchased separately (SSH/SSL functionality is included in the pre-programmed application).

Serial Tunnel
By using two NetBurner Serial to Ethernet devices you can create a "serial tunnel" that enables two serial devices to communicate over an IP network, even if both of your serial devices have no network capabilities. The SB700-EX is the leader for low cost, high performance embedded networking. While other products in this price range are 8-bit processors with small amounts of paged memory and limited performance, the Freescale ColdFire 5270 is a full 32-bit high performance processor. The SB700-EX has 8MBytes of SDRAM providing plenty of space for applications and buffering.

NetBurner DIN Rail Mounting Kit
The optional NetBurner DIN-100 and DIN-200 Rail Mounting Kits are designed to provide DIN Rail capabilites for the SB700-EX. These kits contain everything necessary to mount your SB700-EX device.
